The Set Up

The Voice

My natural accent is a clear Scottish voice with a youthful warmth. Handily for me, it’s an accent that regularly tops YouGov polls of most trustworthy! An extra bonus when it comes to your messaging.

As a trained Actor, I have a bunch of accents that I’m comfortable with including a variety of regional UK accents as well as RP (Posh English!) and American. If you’re looking for something specific just let me know and I’ll be happy to record a custom snippet for you!

The Studio

With a broadcast quality home studio - I can get your recordings to you fast. Within 48 hours for the majority of projects.

You’re more than welcome to direct the session live via a link I’ll provide. Or you can leave me to take the stress out of the whole process. Safe in the knowledge you have a professional taking care of everything.

 FAQs

Hopefully you can find any answers you’re looking for here. If you can’t find what you’re looking for or need to know anything a little more specific feel free to email me at andrewstillvoice@gmail.com

  • It can be a little confusing especially if you’ve never hired a VO before! So I like to keep things simple by working directly with my clients through the proccess.

If you have a sample of your script ready, I’d be more than happy to record a short section free of charge. That way you can hear exactly how my voice might fit your project before making any decisions.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll chat about where the recording will be used and I’ll put together a quote based on that.

You’re welcome to join the session live - I’ll send you an easy link so you can listen and direct in real time. Or, if you’d prefer, just let me know what you need and I’ll record your script and get it back to you - usually within 48 hours.

I can also take care of editing, so you’re audio is polished and ready to go. Simple and straightforward!

  • As quickly as I can!

I aim for most projects to be recorded and sent within 48 hours. Sometimes this can vary depending on the length of the project. An audiobook will take a little longer for example. To ask how long your specific project will take feel free to drop me a message at andrewstillvoice@gmail.com

  • Every project is different and rates can be vary depending on factors like the type of project, where it will be heard and the reach the project will have.

It can definitely feel a bit confusing at times! Best bet is to get in touch with your specifics and I’ll help guide you through the process. I love working on all projects, big and small and suited to any budget!

If you’d like to research pricing for different genres, I’d recommend having a look at  Gravy For The Brain’s Rates Card. This will give you an idea of some industry standard rates.

  • I’ll record your script from my broadcast quality sound booth at my home in Glasgow. I also have a portable sound booth in case I’m out on the road when your project comes through. This allows me to be available whenever you need!

I can take care of the editing to give you the polished, broadcast quality sound you require. If you’d prefer to have someone on your end do it then this is no problem at all and can send the files without processing. I’m also happy to offer this editing service independently at a rate of £30 per hour + VAT.

Once all the recording is complete, I’ll send the files over to you in your choice of format via your preferred method (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox)

  • I want all my clients to leave feeling 100% happy with my service! As a result, I’ll always provide pickup’s free of charge until you are completely satisfied with your recording. However, if your script changes after the agreed quote then additional charges may be applied.

  • While AI has become an incredibly useful tool and is growing increasingly popular in the VO space, there are many reasons why it’s better to go with a Voiceover Artist.

Firstly, by using a trained, professional Voice Actor you’re putting money in the pocket of a small business owner who has devoted years to their craft. This product is bespoke, authentic and nuanced in a way that AI, with it’s many upsides, simply isn’t.

With this service, you get a creative partner who is flexible - can be directed by you personally with live adjustment in real time. That can provide creative input from years of lived performance experience that AI simply can’t match.

Ultimately, audiences are savvy. We’re already seeing a big pushback from people who want their art created by humans, not machines. If you’re looking for a creative partner who will help you stand out in a market of generic AI voices then get in touch. I’m looking forward to collaborating together.
